Rick Turner Model T #97514 1997 - Formica
Rick Turner Model T #97514 1997 - Formica
This Model T is in excellent condition with no major dings or dents and very little fretware; this one features a unique formica finish!
The Model T's signature sound is powered by the Turner "Rick" double horseshoe pickup, a modern update of the 1930s Rickenbacker pickup used in early lap steel guitars, which played a key role in making electric guitars commercially viable. Turner’s research led to recreating the vintage tone, while improving durability with advanced magnetic materials and precision coil winding.
Its electronics feature a passive volume and tone control, with a push/pull knob that bypasses the controls for a direct signal to the amp. The Model T’s design nods to the 1928 Kay Kraft guitars, and its Formica laminate evokes a classic diner style.
* Comes with a non-original case
"The Turner “Rick” double-horseshoe pickup delivers accurate vintage lead tones and an “all controls bypass” switch serves up a direct, load-free signal to the output jack. Slide and bottle-neck players love it. We make this guitar in a Formica-topped version as a most unique option."
