Description
This Tim Scheerhorn-built, R. body spider cone resonator guitar features a 2-piece book-matched flame maple top and back, as well as flame maple sides. The 3-piece flame maple neck has a walnut stripe down the middle and an ivoroid-bound ebony fingerboard with abalone dot markers and "Scheerhorn" inscribed on a pearl block inlay above the 19th fret, as well as Schaller tuners. It features the Scheerhorn "modern" design with sound posts and an internal metal baffle rather than the typical sound well design. The guitar has some wear to the resonator cover; the chrome plating has worn through in the area around the bridge cover, and there are some chips in the finish near the upper bout bass side. The lacquer finish has some crazing in it as well. That being said, this guitar sounds great, like a Scheerhorn should. Hard shell case included.
