Mason Williams's main guitar during his "Bluegrass Period", extensively used for touring and recording. The back cover of his album "Of Time and Rivers Flowings" is an iconic photo of Mason standing in the McKenzie River holding this guitar. Sitka Spruce top, Indian Rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, ebony fretboard and bridge. This guitar shows it's age well with a wonderful patina and vintage vibe; it sounds exactly as a D-28 of this era should with a clear, loud, classic Martin dreadnaught voice, plays quite well having had a professional neck reset and refret in the past. This instrument is being sold As-Is, direct from Mason's hands, and includes his name-stamped Calton touring case.
