Step into a world of superior craftsmanship and rich, balanced tones with the Collings OM2H Torrefied Sitka Spruce. The Orchestra Model (OM) has been a favorite for 80 years, especially among fingerstyle guitarists who prefer steel strings. Its iconic 14-fret body shape is versatile, loved by flatpickers, and ideal for lead players, especially when paired with a graceful cutaway that allows access to all 20 frets, much like an electric guitar.
The Collings OM2H Torrefied Sitka Spruce takes this classic design to the next level with East Indian rosewood back and sides, a Sitka spruce top, and intricate herringbone purfling, all beautifully encased in an elegant ivoroid body binding. The combination of a modified V neck profile and an ebony fingerboard ensures effortless playability, while the pre-war scalloped X-bracing pattern enhances tonal clarity and sustain.
Whether you’re performing on stage or enjoying a relaxed jam at home, the Collings OM2H's shallow body (just over 4 inches deep) ensures a balanced tone and immediate response for both rhythm and lead playing.
