Description
This 1946 Epiphone Triumph features the original sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer finish, a solid carved quartersawn bookmatched spruce top; solid carved figured maple back; rock maple sides and five-piece neck; Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard; split-diamond pattern abalone fingerboard inlay and "column" style peghead inlay, triple-bound body, bound fingerboard and headstock; bone nut. Other features include the original nickel hardware includes Frequensator tailpiece, "Epsilon-logo" tuners, hex-key adjustable truss rod, adjustable Brazilian Rosewood bridge. The guitar appears to have been re-fretted as the frets are in excellent condition. It has had an endpin jack added as well as a floating mini humbucking pickup with a newer pickguard with a volume control mounted to it. There is lacquer checking in the finish and a small amount of wear on the back, small repaired crack, normal wear and tear, no major issues. A great example of a classic.
