Description
1946 Epiphone Triumph, sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer finish, 17 3/8" wide body, 25 1/2" scale length, 1 11/16" nut, solid carved bookmatched spruce top; solid maple back & sides, five-piece Maple/Walnut neck, bound Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard with notched-diamond inlay, bound peghead with "column" style inlay, triple-bound body, Frequensator tailpiece, "Epsilon-logo" tuners, adjustable truss rod. Used locally as a gigging jazz guitar for many years, it was professionally re-fretted and set up for electric play -endpin jack added, replaced vintage-style pickguard with floating mini humbucking pickup and volume control. The finish black lights correctly as original, the top and sides have been buffed out, minor back binding shrinkage/gaps, lighter than normal wear and tear for it's age, no major issues. A beautiful example of a classic post-war archtop.
