From Hardwire:
The Hardwire TR-7 is a multi-effects guitar pedal that combines tremolo and rotary speaker simulations. It features a variety of effects, including different tremolo types (Opto, Bias, Duo) and rotary sounds (Rotary Speaker, UltraVibe, Vibropan). Key features include true bypass, true stereo I/O, and high-voltage operation for superior tonal quality and noise reduction.
Effects and modes
-
Tremolo: The pedal has several tremolo modes:
- Opto Tremolo: Mimics the optically isolated tremolo in Fender amps.
- Bias Tremolo: Modulates both volume and dynamic characteristics by shifting the bias voltage.
- Duo Tremolo: Two tremolos are connected in series for a complex sound.
- Rotary: Includes Rotary Speaker, UltraVibe, and Vibropan settings that simulate a rotating speaker cabinet.
Controls and features
- Speed Knob: Controls the LFO speed of the effect.
- Depth Knob: Controls the intensity of the effect.
- Modify Knob: Adjusts various settings depending on the selected effect. For tremolo, it can change the waveform (e.g., from sine to square wave); for rotary effects, it adjusts the amount of dry signal added.
- Type Knob: Selects one of the seven available effect types.
- Tap Tempo: Allows for on-the-fly tempo control by tapping the footswitch.
- True Bypass: When the effect is off, it doesn't alter your clean tone.
- True Stereo I/O: Can be used with both left and right inputs and outputs for stereo signal processing.
- High-Voltage Operation: Operates at a higher voltage, which improves tonal quality and reduces noise, especially in the effects loop of an amplifier.
